The UK Spectator has finally recognized The Lane Bookshop as a place frequented by great Australian novelists. In a review of The House of Fiction by Susan Swingler, James McNamara, a sometime worker at the bookshop, refers to the shop as a salon where great literary debates were held and seemingly very little work.
